A break in the weather greeted us on the afternoon of Marya and Kieran’s wedding on the esplanade in Hervey Bay.

With the wind and rain we had before and after their day, I’m pretty much convinced some couples are simply blessed!

Their intimate ceremony was followed by group and family portraits – who can forget the shinanigans with the pompoms…!

The Urangan beachfront provided a great location for the bridal party photoshoot with such a great range of backdrops in one spot.

Michael Smith – AIPP Accredited Professional Photographer 2012

I’m happy to say that earlier this month I became a fully accredited member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).

This comes on the back of a year long mentoring program under the leadership of Lesley Downie

(Australian Documentary Photographer of the Year 2011 – to name just one of her many accolades!). During this program we enjoyed monthly

visits to the studios of some of the most successful Photographers in Queensland, including Marcus Bell’s Studio Impressions, Sterling Studios

and Reyment Photographics to name just a few! It was by far the best thing I have done as a photographer and I learnt so much that we have

applied in our business. I now recommend the AIPP and the mentoring program to every photographer I meet as an essential platform upon which

to grow and succeed in the ever evolving and sometimes challenging world of modern professional Photography.

Linda & Marty – Hervey Bay Wedding Photographer

New Year’s Eve was a double celebration for family and friends of Linda and Marty. A beautifully crafted garden was the setting for their intimate Wedding Ceremony. And who can forget their prized companion, Savvy the beagle, pulling up a seat front and centre on the red carpet! Afterwards, we made our way to Scarness to make the most of the beautiful afternoon on the beach followed by some early fireworks at Torquay. Congratulations Linda and Marty and thank you for trusting us with photographing the celebration of the incredible bond between you both.

Nerida & Marcus Engagement Photoshoot

Well December was a busy month for us and one of the stand out shoots was the engagement session with Nerida and Marcus.

With an entire cane farm to play with we were just a little excited! Combine that with a great couple and some beautiful afternoon light

and we couldn’t have hoped for more! Keep an eye out for Marcus’ signature move the “Corkscrew Heal-click”…

Kirsty & Brad – Wedding Photography – Fraser Island

Love is simple and beautiful, such was the initimate wedding of Kirsty and Brad. The wedding took place at Sunset Beach at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

After the ceremony there was time for some play and photos, before Kirsty, Brad and Abby set off to enjoy the afternoon together and celebrate their new family of three.

Michelle & Hadleigh – Wedding Photography – Bundaberg

We arrived at Bundy not really knowing what to expect, and were delighted by the beautiful grounds at Waterview Estate, a venue we would highly recommend with heaps of wedding photography opportunities. Everything about this wedding was absolutely gorgeous. There were heaps of friends and family there to celebrate, and we can’t forget that part of the ceremony when Hadleigh and the best man pranked everyone with a little “throw the ring into the garden trick”. Sometimes there is a particularly deep love, bond and understanding between the couple that really jumps out as special, and this was certainly one of those occasions for us. After the ceremony and formal photos, we arrived at the reception venue at Spinnakers which was again – AWESOME. The decorations were perfect and I especially loved the handmade table signs which were named after all the Bundaberg Rum varieties http://www.bundabergrum.com.au/. Michelle & Hadleigh are a great down-to-earth couple and we are very grateful to have shared in their day. The law of attraction seems to be working well for us in attracting like-minded couples!

Jolene & Khaled – Wedding Photography – Hervey Bay

Khaled and Jolene. Both beautiful, down-to-earth, caring, and gentle people who you just know will patiently love and support each other always…and now melded to create little Isaac. I couldn’t pick a couple more willing to just go with the flow happily wherever that led. The wedding was an intimate gathering of family and friends. Khaled’s family travelled from Egypt, while Jolene’s family made the drive from Mt Isa. Languages and culture made no difference in the two family’s coming together and happily sharing memories of Khaled and Jolene and their joyous union at the reception.

Alicia and James chose the Waterfront Restaurant in Hervey Bay for their wedding.

Alicia looked absolutely stunning, and James scrubbed up pretty well too!

We had loads of fun with the whole bridal party making for some great photography,

not to forget the jump shots which didn’t quite go according to plan but certainly gave everyone a great laugh!

Alicia and James are so easy to work with and the beach at high tide at Dayman Park made for heaps of great photos.

To sum it up – chilled out – just like Alicia & James – just how it should be!
