It was an absolute privilege to be a Lady Elliot Island Wedding Photographer recently for the awesome Courtney and Toby!

As soon as we met these guys we hit it off straight away and spent hours chatting before sorting out the plan for photographing their special day. Lady Elliot Island – what a location - and the staff who work there were absolutely outstanding ensuring the day went off without so much as a ripple in the plans! They even managed to keep the rain at bay for the duration of the ceremony and photoshoot!

Nerida & Marcus – Hervey Bay Weddings

Nerida & Marcus chose Hervey Bay’s Waterfront Restaurant as the venue for their big day. Kicking the day off with prep shots at Allegra, Hervey Bay, the girls were nice and relaxed while Lisa Klein Professional Makeup Artist and Tess from Tusk Hair and Beauty worked their magic. The ceremony was led by Cheryl Kidd from I Thee Wedd and had a great mix of beautiful intimate moments and comedy - a bit of a trademark of Nerida and Marcus! A quick photoshoot with the bridal party at the Urangan Pier and the fun began back at Waterfront Restaurant for the reception. Sheryl and Tim were married on the 2nd of March 2012. They chose Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island for their special day, with the ceremony being held at sunset beach and reception held poolside at the resort. The whole day was very relaxed and was just about celebrating with eachother and their closest family and friends. Elisabeth and Michael were married at the Torquay Jetty in Hervey Bay on what was a beautiful day in January. Little Jade was super proud to be one of her mum’s flowergirls, only too happy to pose for a photo and cheer up her big sister when she was feeling a little overwhelmed by the day. The reception was at Wild Lotus, and Elisabeth chose to decorate the venue herself doing a beautiful job. Thank you Michael and Elisabeth for choosing us to capture the moments of your special day! Marya & Kieran – Hervey Bay Wedding Photography

A break in the weather greeted us on the afternoon of Marya and Kieran’s wedding on the esplanade in Hervey Bay.

With the wind and rain we had before and after their day, I’m pretty much convinced some couples are simply blessed!

Their intimate ceremony was followed by group and family portraits – who can forget the shinanigans with the pompoms…!

The Urangan beachfront provided a great location for the bridal party photoshoot with such a great range of backdrops in one spot.

Michael Smith – AIPP Accredited Professional Photographer 2012

I’m happy to say that earlier this month I became a fully accredited member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).

This comes on the back of a year long mentoring program under the leadership of Lesley Downie

(Australian Documentary Photographer of the Year 2011 – to name just one of her many accolades!). During this program we enjoyed monthly

visits to the studios of some of the most successful Photographers in Queensland, including Marcus Bell’s Studio Impressions, Sterling Studios

and Reyment Photographics to name just a few! It was by far the best thing I have done as a photographer and I learnt so much that we have

applied in our business. I now recommend the AIPP and the mentoring program to every photographer I meet as an essential platform upon which

to grow and succeed in the ever evolving and sometimes challenging world of modern professional Photography.

New Year’s Eve was a double celebration for family and friends of Linda and Marty. A beautifully crafted garden was the setting for their intimate Wedding Ceremony. And who can forget their prized companion, Savvy the beagle, pulling up a seat front and centre on the red carpet! Afterwards, we made our way to Scarness to make the most of the beautiful afternoon on the beach followed by some early fireworks at Torquay. Nerida & Marcus Engagement Photoshoot

With an entire cane farm to play with we were just a little excited! Combine that with a great couple and some beautiful afternoon light

Kirsty & Brad – Wedding Photography – Fraser Island

Love is simple and beautiful, such was the initimate wedding of Kirsty and Brad. The wedding took place at Sunset Beach at Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

After the ceremony there was time for some play and photos, before Kirsty, Brad and Abby set off to enjoy the afternoon together and celebrate their new family of three.

Michelle & Hadleigh – Wedding Photography – Bundaberg

We arrived at Bundy not really knowing what to expect, and were delighted by the beautiful grounds at Waterview Estate, a venue we would highly recommend with heaps of wedding photography opportunities. Everything about this wedding was absolutely gorgeous. There were heaps of friends and family there to celebrate, and we can’t forget that part of the ceremony when Hadleigh and the best man pranked everyone with a little “throw the ring into the garden trick”. Sometimes there is a particularly deep love, bond and understanding between the couple that really jumps out as special, and this was certainly one of those occasions for us. After the ceremony and formal photos, we arrived at the reception venue at Spinnakers which was again – AWESOME. The decorations were perfect and I especially loved the handmade table signs which were named after all the Bundaberg Rum varieties http://www.bundabergrum.com.au/. Michelle & Hadleigh are a great down-to-earth couple and we are very grateful to have shared in their day. The law of attraction seems to be working well for us in attracting like-minded couples!
